A more sustainable way of doing business, matchmaking sessions and guided tours

The second day of the IFAMA World Conference was kicked off by a keynote about new paths in food innovation and sustainability. Peder Tuborgh, CEO of Arla Foods, participated together with Jacques De Groot, Head of Quality Assurance at VanDrie Group, and Flemming Besenbacher, Chariman of the Supervisory Board at Carlsberg and Professor at Aarhus.

Over the last two decades, WICaNeM has become a well-known conference for anyone interested in the management, economics and organisation of chains and networks from a life sciences perspective. The integration of science and business in the conference programme is the key to its success.

2016 will mark the 12th anniversary of the biannual WICaNeM conference, hosted by Wageningen University in the Netherlands.


IFAMA is an international management organisation that brings together business, academic and government leaders and other industry stakeholders to improve the strategic focus, transparency, sustainability and responsiveness of the global food and agribusiness system.

IFAMA is volunteer driven and has over 800 members in more than 50 countries, including leading business executives, university departments, libraries, researchers, educators, policymakers and non-governmental organisations and consumer groups.
