Food security in 2050, student case competition and a taste of the local Danish culture

[fusion_text]The first official day of the IFAMA conference 2016 will soon wrap up. It has been an exciting day, which started off with a keynote on sustainable water, nitrogen and energy use in agriculture. This was followed up by an inspiring keynote discussion between Bent Hansen, Phil Hogan, Theo Camps, Esben Laulund and Karen Hækkerup discussed how Europe can contribute to a food-secure future. The main discussion points were collaboration within the sector and with other sectors, innovation and sustainability, which will solve the future challenges in relation to food security.
Another exiting event of the day where the student case competition finals. This is a competition that joins students from all over the world in the solving of “real world” challenges. We look forward to Wednesday, when the winners will be announced!
Tonight the participants will experience the hospitality of Danish families, who have opened up their homes and welcomed them to share a dinner and a cultural experience.[/fusion_text]
